FAQ's

What is the average time to repair a watch?

The answer to this question varies based on the type of watch, as well as the type of repair. A simple battery replacement can be turned around in a day, while a vintage restoration of a century old pocket watch may take several weeks to restore. We do our best to give an indication of the length of time required in the estimate.

How should I pack my watch?

Wrap your watch in buble wrap and place it in a box. Using foam or bubble wrap, secure your item in the center and ensure not to place tape or any other adhesive directly on your watch.

Place the wrapped watch in a secure box filled with more packing material. We recommend Shipping with insurance for added security.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards through Paypal, Venmo or Zelle.

Do you sell parts?

At this time we are only providing watch repair and/or restoration services.

I live in the area, can I drop off my watch?

We have a secure environment and unable to accomodate walk in customers. We apologize for the inconvenience.

However we do deal with local jewelers where you can drop off watches for repair during normal business hours.

My mechanical watch isn't running. What's it going to cost to fix?

There is no way short of looking at the watch, for anyone to know exactly what the problem is.

However most comenly its a matter of either poor quality lubricants, dryed up lubricants or dirt and debries keeping the watch from runnung properly.

The watch movement is a lot like a cars engin. If it isnt properly maintained, it will not run well.

And if the oil isnt in the right places in the proper amount than the tiny parts will not move freely and wear out much faster.

What is all involved with a movement service.

To do a complete service and overhaul on a watch movement.

It needs to be completely dismantled. Every part is taken off the movement and examined for wear or damage. If there is damage the part will need to be replaced.

Then all the parts go into a cleaning machine to remove all the old lubricants and any dirt or dust.

Then all the parts are checked again befor being lubricated and put back into the movement.

There are NO shortcuts in this process!!
